People are usually told they MUST invest $500,000 in an underprivileged area or $1 million in a regular area however this is not the only way to obtain a visa to the great USA. The majority of people traveling from abroad fall into one of only several categories.
Below are the most common USA visas opportunities available to investors.
B Visa – (Business or Pleasure)
The visitor visa is a type of nonimmigrant visa for persons desiring to enter the United States temporarily for business (B-1) or for pleasure, tourism or medical treatment (B-2). International travelers with visitor visas comprise a large portion of temporary visitor travel to The United States every year.
Who, within the three preceding years, have been employed abroad continuously for one year, and who will be employed by a branch, parent, affiliate, or subsidiary of that same employer in the U.S. in a managerial, executive, or specialized knowledge capacity;
EB-5 – (route to a Green Card)
The minimum investment to apply for an EB-5 visa is $900,000 or $1,800,000. This type of investment needs to be carefully considered as you have options. You will need to confirm which regional program best suits your needs.
E 2 – Treaty Investor Visa
This applies to most people and it is for those of you who do not own a business in the country you currently reside in, however, are willing to purchase a business in the United States. This gives you the ability to:
- Live in the United States legally and work within your own business
- Allow your spouse to apply for a work permit, allowing them to apply for jobs within the U.S. other than a government job.
Choosing the Visa that best matches your circumstances is important and it’s essential you receive qualified advice. We work with many different Immigration attorneys in the Orlando area and would be happy to introduce you to people we trust and know.
